About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to rattle the cages of my comfort zone

PHILOSOPHY

So it goes.. Words of Wisdom by Kurt Vonnegut really explains life to me. There will be good times and there will certainly be hardships. It is within our power to decide how we react to these situations.
I try to embrace every moment with a smile and see it as a learning opportunity

Music, Movies, and Books

Novels: I love Stephen King, Daniel Quinn, Brave New World, Kurt Vonnegut.

Movies: I have too many, I live for movies. Here's a condensed list! Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind, Amelie, The Departed, Almost Famous, Boondock Saints, Reservoir Dogs, Pineapple Express, and much more.
Shows: Arrested Development, Rick and Morty, Doctor Who! Ricky Gervais Show, Idiot Abroad, Young ones, Monty Python's Flying Circus and Mighty Boosh.

Music: (again, to name only a small portion of my list) The Beatles<3, Nick Drake, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, Anything motown, Mumford and Sons, M83, The Wombats, Tallest Man on Earth, Tune Yards, Foster the People, David Bowie, Two Door Cinema Club, The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, Grouplove, Yesayer, Tune Yards, Saintseneca, Sigur Ros, Zed's Dead, Skrillex, Rusko. Pretty much anything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered with aboriginals through Global Youth Network in Western Canada (British Columbia and Alberta). Lived on a reserve and learned about their dying culture and social issues.
Recently went cherry picking near Kelowna BC last summer. I enjoyed living in a tent for two months.
I volunteered for a Distress line during my university years. It feels great being able to help those who were struggling with mental health and those who just need a listening ear.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe everyone regardless of age or 'experience' has some sort of wisdom to offer to others.
