About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to get off the North American Continent and have fun doing it!!
ABOUT ME
I'm a down to earth, fairly practical lady with a flare for adventure. I log a moderate amount of mileage on my car for work and visiting friends and family. I even log a few frequent flier miles every year. I work part-time with families who have young children with developmental delays and spend the rest of my time raising my own young child. Together, we are rediscovering St. Louis and all the free and/or cheap activities and attractions it has to offer.
My mom says I've never met a stranger, I'd like to prove her right!
PHILOSOPHY
Make a Wish List and start checking them off. I've walked into a restaurant and ordered only my favorite dessert. Now it is time to get off the continent...
Love God. Love Family. Love Friends. Have fun doing it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am open to grabbing a drink or helping someone enjoy our city of "small towns".
We're not hosting right now. :-( Hopefully in the future!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Up until now, I have only couch surfed on family and friends' couches and I've done plenty of those since high school. I am really new to the "couch surfing" idea and am excited to see what experiences it holds!
Interests
plants, butterflies, walking, taking snapshots, gardening, getting my hands (and shoes) dirty, visiting with family & friends. I enjoy taking my toddler and the little dog for walks whenever possible and have started half marathon training (walking). I love to travel locally and am excited to be traveling abroad soon!

Music, Movies, and Books
Yes.
Movies--Nothing to scary, nothing to brain dead stupid. SciFi, drama, documentaries.
Music--just about anything that I can hear/understand the words.
I'm a book-aholic. I really like children's books and juvenile fiction. I have quite a few children's non-fiction books, as kids should have access to real information. Recently I have been getting back into more adult literature as I have time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Everyday, I watch my daughter learn about the world!
I've grown a vegetable garden on my kitchen counter.
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy lots of different plants and love to help people try to keep them alive. I use sign language in our home everyday and can help you learn a few signs!
My geography/cultural education what limited growing up and I would love to learn more about places and the people that live in them. (I did have a good geography teacher in college.)
