ABOUT ME

I live in Turku with my boyfriend (https://www.couchsurfing.org/profile.html?id=5I79EAK30) and we both study in university of Turku.

Nature is very close to my heart and sometimes living in a city makes me want to escape the noise to the nearest forest or natural park even thought I also love the beat of the city.

I study comparative religion, folkloristics, East and Southeast Asian studies and cultural history. I really love to know different kinds of cultures and beliefs and to learn from them.

Music and art is very important part of my life. They make my heart beat and I think I can not live a day without music on the background! When I have freetime/inspiration, I like to paint or photograph. In general, I like to do fun stuff with people. If you have an idea - Im up for it!

PHILOSOPHY

I think that every person is equally important and that we all have inside of us the ingredients what we need to make our life magnificent!

I respect nature and all life so I try to live as enviromentally friendly as possible. We try to recycle as much as we can and buy items that we need from flea market or other second hand shops. I dont eat meat.

I dont respect the consumption society so I try to eat as much local food as possible with my student budget. One summer for example, me and my boyfriend farmed some of our food ourself.

I also know and respect that not everyone has the same values than us. Everyone of us perceive the world differently and has the right to do their own choises in life whatever they are.

In short, I dont judge people over how they live their life. I believe that there are many right choises and that there arent any ultimate or one right way of doing things. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined to CS in 2011, approximately 6 months after I first heard about this community. Me and my boyfriend hosted our first quests in Feb 2012 and it was really nice experience. Our first surfing experience happened in April 2012 when we travelled to India. We spend time with 3 different families in 3 different cities. It was truly amazing experience which crystallized the whole idea of couchsurfing and the love behind it.

Since then we have had surfers from other countries and have met some fellow counchsurfers while travelling.

Interests

I love meeting people. I love learning from others and get to know different cultures, beliefs and personal philosophies - not forgetting lifestories! May it be religion, culture, mysticism, occulticism, philosophy, spirituality etc I am always ready to learn more.

I am also interested in photography, painting, yoga (especially kundalini), history and the mysteries of life and past cultures. I love music, books, reading&writing and to travel as much as I can.

One of my passions is food. I love to cook and basically we try to do our food by ourself from the start. This means that we avoid already prepared foods that you can buy from food stores.

My boyfriend loves to bake and is very good at it! We both love to learn new and traditional dishes from another cultures so if you want to teach us one it would be awesome!
