About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Saving money, going to school, etc so we can get out of the suburbs and back abroad.
ABOUT ME
My husband and I are both from California (him northern, me southern) and we are very attached to the ocean and tend to travel to places that touch water. We recently finished teaching English in Thailand for a year. Now we're stuck in Florida.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We signed up towards the end of our year in Thailand, but were able to host one person while there. We surfed with 2 different hosts in New Zealand and enjoyed it so would love to participate more.

Music, Movies, and Books
I will read or watch anything you give me. Oh that note, my favorite movies are BioDome, anything Disney, Jurassic Park, Goodfellas, and Fried Green Tomatoes. I also love foreign movies and anything with Christian Bale.
Favorite books: Ishmael, Harry Potter, Golden Compass and sequels, The Beach, Lord of the Flies and Island of the Blue Dolphins.
I'm really picky about my music, but I'm not a music snob. I just like what I like. I am on the lookout for some new music though. Joseph likes weird ambient stuff. You'll have to ask him.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We went to Angkor Wat in October of 2011, and it was amazing. We spent 2 full days out there and still didn't see all of the temples. We felt like we were in an Indiana Jones movie the whole time. Cambodians are beautiful and amazing people and we can't wait to return. Also, we accidentally ran over a 12 foot reticulated python on our motorbike about 1/8 mile from our house in Thailand. I think it's OK. That's more amazing in a not good way, but it was the really crazy.

Teach, Learn, Share
I'm kind of good at a lot of things, but not an expert in anything. I can teach you about map reading, photo editing, and kayaking skills. Joseph is a professional bike mechanic and guitarist and would love to give a lesson on either. He'll also tune up any bikes you have (he brought a torque wrench with him to Thailand).I am interested in learning about the geography and food of wherever we happen to be. We also like trying local microbreweries. We would both like to finally speak Spanish fluently and we'd like to get more into rock climbing.
