About Me
I have been blessed to grow up in what I believe to be one of the most beautiful countries on this planet; we have golden beaches, deserts, rain forests, thriving cities, and so much more!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm about to set out on the adventure of a life time with my amazing friend Alison!
I live in Melbourne and she is currently in London. Come July 2015 we shall be setting off for Europe's finest! Along our travels we hope to meet some generous individuals, visit breath taking sites, enjoy mouth-watering local cuisine and simply take in each moment as it comes.
We shall be visiting France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Our journey begins late July and is due to finish mid October.
We would love to meet people who can speak English and would like to share what is unique about their city.
Interests
One of my favourite things of all is food. I love buying, cooking, eating, smelling, watching, yep. I'll stop there but I really love food. Not the biggest meat eater but I will try just about anything once so if you can recommend something unique to your city please let me know!

Music, Movies, and Books
I watch few movies however the ones I enjoy are often layered with unique plots and an ending that leaves more questions than answers. I do enjoy documentaries especially those about social behaviours, conspiracies and different cultures.
I do enjoy music and have worked at many large concerts in Melbourne. My taste in music varies dramatically from John Butler Trio, Mumford and Sons, The Wombats, British India to Slipknot, Bullet for my Valentine and The Beatles!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have taken great pleasure in travelling to Cambodia in 2009 and returning in 2013 followed by a visit to Burma (Myanmar) and again in 2015. Both of these journeys involved volunteering to build houses with the Tabitha Foundation which is a not-for-profit, non-religious organisation aiming to eliminate extreme poverty within Cambodia; for these trips I fund raised the cost of building materials, additionally I financed my own travel expenses to experience the joy of building houses in these remote villages, I also contributed to donating computers, laptops, a satellite, educational material and a water pump.
The experiences I have had in these extremely poor nations will stay with me for the rest of my life, I do hope to eventually make a sustainable living from helping people less fortunate than myself and I believe I am on track to make this a reality.
