Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had a joyous experience with my first CS hosts in London in 2014. We had such great rapport and authentic connection that they asked me to watch their house and cats later in my trip when they went out of town on an overnighter. It really is special making sudden friends through this platform. Back home in Portland, I live in a community house and we're opening up a room soon for CS'ers. I'm thrilled! I am so attracted to building international networks of friends, because people (particularly from different cultures) are the ultimate teachers and I love the opportunity to have a more intimate, authentic experience while journeying through this big world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in a small town in El Salvador for two months. Seen the beautiful sacred mountaintop city of Koyasan Japan. Hiked 10 miles into (and out of) the Grand Canyon to witness and swim in a breathtaking oasis.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking. Down to earth and real-talk conversation. Authentic connection. Help with little projects (gardening, pet sitting, laundry, etc).
