ABOUT ME

I graduated from a university in the Northern part of Michigan and after spent 8 months teaching English in France and have studied abroad a few times. I am currently living in Chicago for the past 8 years working at an International nonprofit and I hope to meet some people in Chicago!

Most people would describe me as bubbly with a smile always planted on my face..life is to short to not be happy. I'm always doing something and keeping myself busy..I can't stand just sitting at home.
I absolutely love learning about new cultures and trying new things.

Live life to the fullest

I think that..the secret to life is just being happy. The pursuit of happiness is what we experience in life. And while we may not always be successful, its in these times that we find our true selves and figure out what we want most in life and how to achieve it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couchsurfered a few times and sometimes I do language exchanges with other CSers. I'm looking for French and Spanish language exchanges! Since I do love linguistics, I am fascinated by learning the nuances of languages and colloquialisms. If you're looking to practice your English, I enjoy helping others with their conversational skills along with English grammar, spelling and syntax.

Now that I'm in Chicago, I've been meeting up with visitors showing them around the city, to the best of my capabilities :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed a few times now in France, Portugal, Ireland, Italy and Greece. I had a great time each and every time and I'm looking forward to more great times that lie ahead! I feel as if I have had more valuable traveling experiences and I have met some pretty amazing people thanks to couch surfing. I love talking to people from all over.

Intereses

I live for learning new languages and traveling. I consider myself a fairly active person. I love yoga, pilates, Zumba and dancing. I spent a summer in Mexico and fell in love with Latin American dancing (Salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia..etc)I started lessons again this past May and now I go out salsa dancing at least 2 nights a week I absolutely love*languages (my life goal-fluency in 7 languages)*chocolate...it's my weakness*cooking and trying new foods*wine *experiencing new cultures and meeting new people*deep, profound, thought-provoking conversations*exploring new cities and countries*the beach*laying in the sun reading or relaxing*laughing*dancing*zumba*pilates and yoga*music*the first snow fall of every year*walking in the rain
*festivals with people, music, dancing and food*living in the moment and enjoying every moment possible

Música, películas y libros

I love basically all types of music! ( I really don't discriminate when it comes to music, my ipod has music in over 12 different languages!)Too many books to even start listing....

Algo increíble que he hecho

I thought scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef and also zip lining in Australia were quite amazing experiences.

In general, my travels have been an amazing part of my life allowing me to meet so many new people and experience new things. I don't think I would be the person I am today without these unforgettable experiences.
