About Me

After five years of studying I have to decide what to do next in life... I decided to go traveling first.
In Belgium I live with five of my best friends in a house. I'm a really cozy person and like being home, but I can only stay home for a few months before I start craving for the next adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I'm traveling I want to go for the whole experience. Not just get to know the beautiful buildings and bridges, but also the people and the culture.
I like to practice my languages.
Because I spend six months in Nicaragua last year I live at home atm, but starting in september I will start accepting guests

Interests

I love spending times outdoors: hiking, cycling, swimming, picnicking
I get really happy from the little things in life: conversations over a cup of coffee or beer, buying new flowers, hammocks, eating pancakes for dinner, learning a new word in a foreign language
I can't dance, but that won't stop me for loving and doing it anyway.

Music, Movies, and Books

+ Since I spend 6 months in Nicaragua I really started to like salsa and bachata music. To listen to I like: Calle 13, Club de Belugas, Billy Joel, Omara Portuondo , Nneka, Selah Sue,...
+ It's hard to pick a favorite book. As a child (and actually still) I loved reading Roald Dahl. I really liked Norwegian Wood and books from Jonathan Safran Four. Most of the time I'm reading two or three books at the same time.
+ Favorite movie... that's a harder one. Les Intouchables and the perks of being a wallflower are in the top ten.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spending six months living and working in Nicaragua

Teach, Learn, Share

I love sharing midwifery stories
If you are one of the really few people who are interested in learning dutch I can teach you. I also now the basics of Spanish (maybe a little more interesting.

I'm interested in global politics, small farming and female rights (but still learning a lot so I would love a surfer/host who is interested in those thing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, England, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Malawi, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden
