ABOUT ME

I live in Wellington, New Zealand, and have been living there since 2005. Wellington is a great city! The city is beautiful, but we also have a great community of people, and something is always happening - festivals, events, music, foodie things. I grew up in Austin, Texas - another city with wonderful people, live music and heaps of outdoor activities.

I work as a chef, in restaurants or catering, but I also teach cooking classes based on seasonal, sustainable eating with global flavour.

I am currently travelling in Spain, Morocco and Portugal. I wanted to learn tapas from Spain, in Andalusia, so I've come to this region to spend some time learning from local chefs. While in the area, I am also travelling to Morocco and Portugal. I love connecting with people through food - conversations about food, while cooking, eating or tasting new things!

I enjoy meeting people from the places I travel to. For a coffee, lunch, a walk - it changes the travel experience. I like to meet locals and learn about where you come from, life in your city. I enjoy it much more than just being a tourist.
