Renato Gonzales: a native colombian curandero, sanadero who has been working with th tribal medicine of his ancestors (mostly of amazonian Huitoto tribe) for over twenty years: Mambe, Tabacco, Yage/ Ayahuasca, Temazcal and San Pedro – the holy Andean cactus – teaching and healing people from all around the world. Now he decided to see the world himself without letting go of the mission passed onto him by his ancestors. His tribal name, given to him by his Grandfather is Jiruetiri which means „The one who converts fire into water”, which profound meaning will be clear righ after a few minutes after getting to know him.
Aleksander: a Mercurian soul, tries to help Renato spreading his knowledge around the world. Seeing in this an amazing opportunity to realize his long dreamt dream: to revive European ancestral memory, he took a role of a translator (from Spansih to English, Polish, Serbo-Croatian), communicator and an organizer of the journey.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We share the ancestral Medicines and knowledge of Amazonian and Andean tribes of Colombia through ceremonies and lectures all around Europe. Our mission is to help to remind to the Europeans their long-forgotten songs and traditions using ancestral, pre-colombian plants, rituals and ceremonies. Renato works with with Mambe, Tabacco, Yage/ Ayahuasca, Temazcal and San Pedro – the holy Andean cactus, Aleksander translates and helps carrying out the ceremonies and lectures. We use Couch Surfingas a tool to spread out the knowledge that was given to Renato by his Grandfathers, to organize ceremonies, lectures but also to meet kind spirits around Europe who would like to help us with our mission. We will share th traditional songs of colombian Amazon tribes such as Huitoto, their mythology, cosmology and philosophy. But any Art that concerns expansion of human conciousness.

Renato will teach you the songs, ceremonies and stories his ancestors passed onto him and I’ll do my best to make them understendable. But, which is even more important, he could teach you how to reach your own ancestral traditions and songs and why should you do so. All is related you know ;)
