Hi, I'm Ambria or Bri, whatever is easier. I'm originally from Barstow, California but I currently live in Las Vegas, NV. I moved to Vegas in April 2023 after living in Hawaii for 10 years.

I joined the Navy after high school and lived in Florida and Arizona from that, I also did a year in Gardez, Afghanistan. I spent the past 10 years living in Oahu, Hawaii.

I started traveling when I was about 21, and felt so grateful to the many strangers who helped me on my journeys. So, I joined CS to help those who needed tips or a place to stay when I could offer it.

PHILOSOPHY

I have realized the meaning of life for me would be to experience as many things as possible (good and bad). I feel the more we go through, the more we are able to enrich ourselves and those around us, diversify our belief, empathize with others, enhance our skills and appreciate our journey.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly use couchsurfing to meet people when I’m traveling solo. I have hosted and been hosted before and most of my experiences have been great.
I am open to possibly hosting if the timing works out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a bit and did a meet up in Havasupai, AZ. My experiences are usually pretty positive.

I'm interested in everything... movies, music, watching sports, playing sports, the beach, dancing, going out to dinner, traveling, writing, drawing, reading, volunteering, social work, college, art, photos... just everything, lol.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love comedies and chick flicks.
I like mellow music. I really just like a great singer with equally great lyrics. I prefer hearing acoustic or piano. It really depends on my mood though, I can listen to it all.
I love reading stories about people, self improvement or just the human condition in general.

There are always little things you can do for others that may make a major difference in their life.

Try to think outside of yourself sometimes.

A couch surfer pointed out to me that when you're traveling, you begin to realize all the little things you take for granted, like clean clothes, sleeping in a bed, and so on. Before you start feeling sorry for yourself, try having some gratitude.
