About Me

Safety first= Will deny requests from people with no profile description/ references.

Now a little bit about me :)

I am not particular about the jobs I do, Anything moral and pays the bills will do.
(You see what I did here ;))

Travel is sacred, Travel is my religion.

100% nature girl. Beach lover. Loves all kinds of animals. Dog mom to a gorgeous, gentle, street baby Mr. Cookie Bollullos (Ask me how he got his name if you are interested or managed to read this section)

I am crazy about fresh fruits, fruit trees and gets way too excited about foraging and discovering new varieties.

I volunteer with nature conservation activities. I volunteer for purposes that involves cultivating reading habits in children.

I never fit into my surroundings, always the odd one out, and I thought I was the problem. Once I started travelling, especially when solo, I realised I'm not alone and there are so many others who are like me in other parts of the world. I'm finally figuring out my place in the world and who I am as a person. All original thoughts devoid of external influences happens when I travel solo. Finding you have lot of things in common with someone from a completely different culture, upbringing and environment amazes me every single time. Over the years, I have met so many amazing and kind people who gives me hope that we, as a society is not a lost cause.

I like deep conversations with strangers, talking about anything and everything and understanding their perspectives on unique topics. Then I hope that we become friends, keep in touch and meet somewhere else again. I believe that the world is really small for people who love traveling.

I consider myself a positive, energetic, easy going, free soul. I'm fun and pretty adventurous. I like to think of me as kind and respectful. I'm artistic and my emotions run deep.

I hope that you are kind and friendly and not just looking for a free place to stay. Open to learning from each other. I hope to put a smile on your face as well.

Welcome to my world.

If you managed to read till here and is a person with good CS spirit and do feel like meeting me after going through my profile, send me a couch request.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing to meet amazing people. I like diversity and I get really really happy and excited when I can find something in common with you when we are from different upbringings.

I want to meet international travellers to get inspired to travel more and chase new experiences. Experiences that I never knew I needed, UNTIL I met you!

I want to meet travellers on a budget and learn from them little tips and tricks that I can use in the future for my own travels. I want to really try hitchhiking. I've done it couple of times and it was fun. But I worry about safety sometimes.

As an Indian host, I want to help break the stereotype. There are so many good things about my country and I'd like you to see that. But you probably already know that if you are couchsurfing in India. And maybe contribute to some beautiful memories from my country.

As a couchsurfer, July 2023 is the first time I started living with hosts. I'm honoured that you trust me enough to let me into your home and offer me a couch. I'm grateful that you offer me food. And more than everything else, I am glad that I get to become a part of your life, your family, your culture and your country even if it's for few days. That I get to talk to you and learn a bit about you and your adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music that elevates my mood! I'm open to all genre of music and listens to everything from kindergarten rhymes to metal 💀 I like music recommendations, so let me hear your favourite song.

My very first book was from an Indian author Jaishree Mishra "Ancient Promises" and I cried uncontrollably reading it. Few years later, I ran into her at a family wedding and I hugged her so much and laughed and cried uncontrollably with so much of excitement.

Clifton Chronicles- Jeffrey Archer remains my all time favourite. I've read most of his books.

Recently into self improvement and thus into self-help books. These books honestly have no influence on me ☕

Sgt. Bilko is my favorite movie- never laughed so hard watching any other movie.

Some of my all time favorite movies: No country for old men, American Psycho,
Thelma and Louise, Bonnie and Clyde,
Casablanca, Pulp Fiction, GodFather, movies with a lot of gangsters and shootings.

Favourite actors- Meryl Streep, Robert de Niro, Samuel L Jackson, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet, Christian Bale, Javier Bardem.

Takes a 180degree turn and adors

Adam Sandler, Anna Faris, Steve Martin, Rob Schneider, Melissa Mccarthy, Rebel Wilson, Steve Carell, Will Ferrell, Zack Galifianakis, Jane Lynch, Kate Mckinnon and Paul Rudd. I'm there for comedy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am fortunate to have done so many amazing things.

Getting open water PADI certification in Lakshadweep islands was one of the best because I was terrified of the thought that I need to trust a bunch of equipment underwater for breathing. I survived and it was the most amazing experience.

Experiencing Sompasauna in Helsinki was rewarding. Quoting a local "she came in as an amateur, left as a professional"

Travelling in Eastern Europe with Bla Bla cars was super cool.

Drinking shots in Swiss cable cars (responsibly ofcourse! )

Trekking the Dzukou Valley of Nagaland with zero preparation and in my worn out, zero grip sneakers in heavy rain and muddy/slippery trail, sleeping in wet clothes in extreme cold with absolute strangers next to you in an open hall at the base camp was tough, but a memory I cherish the most. I had severe appreciation for myself and in the end, super proud!

Meet me and I will share a lot more.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach : about my country, food, language, culture.

Learn: about your country, food, culture, traditions, mannerisms and maybe a bit about you, if you don't mind.

Can you teach me Spanish? Or German 💀

Share: Laughs, Hugs, Food, Travel stories

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I bring the sunshine 🌞. I bring a lot of hugs. I bring energy, enthusiasm, stories, conversations and sometimes gifts.

I am very straightforward and what's on my mind is always on my face. I like to talk. Sometimes I talk a lot when I'm excited about something. Think of me as a golden retriever.

Sometimes it takes me time to feel comfortable and come out of my shell. This is especially if I've been travelling for a long time. But I reciprocate energy and that's when you become my sunshine.

I cherish friendships, so if we vibe, I'd like to think it's forever. I like to keep in touch. Will you?
