ABOUT ME

Ambra: I'm a 28 year-old language (French and English) High-School teacher. I was born and raised in the States but as a teen I moved to Aragón (Spain) and I now live in Catalonia. During High-School I never listened to my French teacher and I guess destiny has played a joke on me because now I'm on the other side. In college I did a French course, liked it and decided to move to France for a year to do an Erasmus. After my master's I went back to be a teacher's assistant.
Aaaaanyway what I'm saying here is that I'm a bit of a mix. I have a sense of humour, but I'm also serious... I just try to let go sometimes and enjoy the moment.

Kiku: I might seem a bit serious and a bit shy, but I'm soo very kind and nice that all the trapped cats in trees just jump into my arms...!

PHILOSOPHY

Ambra: It changes on a weekly basis.
Kiku: buff!! Above all, I try to enjoy myself and the people around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ambra and Kiku: We have a nice place where people can crash at for the weekend and school vacation, in a separate room. We also enjoy showing people around the area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ambra: I've done it twice with a group of friends- once in Vienna and the other in Berlin. The time I stayed in Vienna was hilarious, anecdote to be explained if we meet---

Kiku: It's my first time and I think it'll be a great new experience for me to get to know new places and people.

Interests

Ambra: Right now I'm not travelling as much, I've just settled down as a language teacher, so now I have an appartment with a couch to offer. Even so, I escape whenever I can. So, interests: travelling, languages, psychology, cinema, bike riding... and I just really enjoy taking a break, meeting new people and having some fun. Oh yeah, I love to dance hehe
Kiku: I enjoy going out in the mountain like Montserrat, and many kinds of sports. My favorite activities are climbing and soccer. I LOVE table games!

Music, Movies, and Books

Ambra; Movies: "High Heels", "American Beauty", "Cinema Paradiso"
Music: everything except country and salsa (but if I'm in the right mood I can make an exception).
Books: any good novel with an historical background pleases me, I like funnies like Carl Hiaasen or super serious Milan Kundera.

Kiku: TV series like Dexter, Lost, etc. Woody Allen movies. All kinds of music. Adventure books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ambra: Travelled around Europe in a bus for 15 days with three friends, seen way to many things and forgotten them, remembered always the good laughs and nice people.

Kiku: trekking in the Himalaya, climbing in Atlas (Marrocco) and getting to know my own country.

Ambra: In Prague metro buy a ticket. They're waiting for you.

Kiku: look at the weather before doing plans. Always bring your raincoat.
