À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

Live! Enjoy each and every moment, make friends everywhere on the planet, visit the whole world...

ABOUT ME

Hey !
I am a French girl currently living in Québec, Canada, and who is fond of traveling and meeting new people.
I love music, especially good old rock, blues, metal, but also post-rock and post-punk, and i'm a huge movie addict, too. As a former design student, I'm very interested in all kinds of art, with a "slight" preference for woodworking, but also photography and painting. Those who know me know I'm always looking for new experiences, and that's why whenever I can, I'm on the road.

I think I'm quite nice, always generous and caring, and will do whatever possible to make our meeting as great as it should be!
If you think you and I could get along, just feel free to send me a message or a request. It'll be a pleasure meeting new people with common interests, and also people with different interests! :D

PHILOSOPHY

Don't dream your life : live it!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to help people, and CS is one of the best ways to do so. I have hosted some people, and have also been hosted. All these experiences were great and participating in that project is a good way to show that trust, openness to people and mutual help are some of the most important values in human relations.

Centres d'intérêt

First on the list, of course, and capitalized : TRAVELS! I have been to a lot of different places, sometimes met truly marvelous people and all the experiences were totally worth it.

Second could be MUSIC. I can spend hours on a couch just listening to some great stuff, simply enjoying the moment. I'm always open for some new discoveries.

Movies. I'm a huge movie fanatic, and I have a big thing for movies that take place in prisons (Shawshank Redemption, Papillon...) and, of course, road movies.

Art. Any kind : I love to work with my hands, draw, paint, crave, work with clay, wood, stone, anything.

Culinary delicacies. That's one of the reason I enjoy traveling so much. My tastebuds are very curious, and even if they regret it sometimes, we enjoy tasting new flavours. And I also like cooking, so you might be able to taste typical French cuisine if you crash on my couch!

Sports, I love outdoor sports : hiking, biking, horseback riding, slackline (I just started, but it's fun!), but have also discovered the pleasures of ice skating and ice hockey during my stay in Canada. I quickly became a huge fan and can easily spend hours on the ice : I find it really resourcing.

and also cats. Yup, I'm a cat person.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

CANADA, of course, where I spent the looooooooongest day of my life.
In a few words : I was traveling across the country, from Montreal to Vancouver. We were kind of broke so we decided to hitchhike instead of taking buses. Overall it went great, except with THIS guy, who took us in and was supposed to take us from Summerland to Vancouver in one ride. He did not mention, however, how he was low on gas and reluctant to pay for it, so we basically ran out of gas 5 times in one day, had to trade a sweater for a jerrycan, push the car, played in a river while waiting for help, got pushed by a truck at 100 kmh on the freeway during 50 km maybe, ended up by nighttime on the side of the road next to a closed gas station... And that's just a brief summary!
