About Me

ABOUT ME

Generally speaking, I'm an art-oriented kind of individual, but I could get interested in basically anything. I love to listen passionate people speak about whatever drives them. Curiosity is what drives me

Also, I'm a student in Paris, France !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a small place in Paris that I share with a friend, it's not easy to host but we are very willing to try ! Otherwise, I can join you for a beer if I'm around

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed for the first time in Montreal during Nov 2012, and it was a really humbling experience. I look forward to the moment when I'll be able to host people myself

Interests

I've been a student in literature, anthropology, and performing arts, and I'm currently following a cursus in film studies. Those are the things I'm the most keen on, along with travel, fine arts, politics, food, birds and cats, music, philosophy, cities, landscapes, wine, riding a bike, cooking, discovering new places, learning, experiencing...you get the idea

Music, Movies, and Books

Cinema : arthouse, classic, experimental, world cinema...and also a weird infatuation on Hellboy

Music : Tom Waits, Lhasa de Sela, Nina Simone, Le Tigre, The Doors, Leonard Cohen, The Kinks...ragtime, hip hop, blues, electro...

Books : Truman Capote, Toni Morrisson, Tarjei Vesaas, John Fante, Janet Frame, Nabokov, Perec, Hamsun, Borges, McCullers, Sebald, Beckett, poetry, essays...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a bus from Detroit to Chicago once. When the bus stopped in Ann Arbor, a man in his 60's started loading the most gigantic cardboard box in the hold.
The driver, quite impressed, asked if that was a home.
The guy answered "hopefully"

I cherish the memory of this scene. Also, here's a piece of a French poem that I love :

"Homeland is wherever I set it :
Land or sea, it is beneath
My feet, where I stand tall"

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a constant learner, but always willing to share. Teach me how to cook delicious dishes, make me discover awesome music, tell me about your favourite movie, show me great little places that only you know about.

I can teach you what I consider the most useful things to know: how to make disgusting cookies and fantastic risottos, how to pretend you know everything about wine, and also how to purr.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
