About Me
Hello, I am a student in the Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea, where I 've been living for about a year as I write this message.
Main reasons for this account being of course my love for discovering different societies and the cultural and natural background attached to them. Learning language mainly to find myself able to communicate with a bigger part of this unfathomably diverse planet, and recently to understand communication itself and to see its limits and my limits to apprehend it. blablabla big talks but all it means is that I'm simply trying to meet you and learn about your life so let's please meet and follow this conversation in a more amusing situation ! :) :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Make people discover my culture, show and surprise people on how a french man actually lives, cook, travel, learn, meet people, and basically all these other reasons that are also the ones why I'm happy. that sounded very cheesy...
Interests
Things that make me get up in the morning: The people I met and those I might meet, the food I ate and the one I may eat. Hiking, or anything that involves beautiful landscapes. Trying different things, doing things differently or seeing them being done differently. Listening to people's opinions about things.
I have very recently been particularly fascinated by cities themselves, the way they function, what they offer and what they don't, why some are nice and some aren't, the life in their little alleys in the morning or at night, or on rush hours in the afternoons.
I can't forget to mention music, I play guitar but love to figure out different instruments. I was in Bolivia a few years ago and throughout the whole trip I would be playing on this cute instrument called Charango.
The best films I saw were always those recommended by people who, like me, love film. I hope that next film will be recommended by you !

Music, Movies, and Books
jimi hendrix bob dylan pixies alt j alex turner and the arctic monkeys jake bugg johny cash and so on. It's hard to describe one's music tastes in a few sentences, but a good conversation could resume and I hope to share it with you.
I'm currently reading a book called "좋아하는 것들의 비밀" which tries to explain why we like things. I love things, objects, foods, houses and interiors, landscapes, shops, cafes, bars, pictures and on and on, it basically tells me why, or at least tries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Floated on a salt pink lake in Senegal after eating in a local's house (age eleven), spent a night in a desert that divide India and Pakistan, two countries in war (age thirteen) Bolivia's immense salt desert, Peru's incredible Inca heritage in the mountains, including Machu Picchu, studied in a stereotypical american campus, new orleans mardi gras, Hong Kong, East Europe...
Yet more than all this simply meeting some people and a few conversations seem to have had more impact on me, hope to rather concentrate on these in the future. And also this incredible experience that I'm living now, of adapting to South Korea's society and culture.
Teach, Learn, Share
Language of course, which I have been doing for about two years as a part time with English and French.
Guitar if you have one.
Opportunities I saw that I couldn't take that you may.
