ABOUT ME

i'm aimee buyea. i pretend to be an artist but i seldom make art. i have lots of skills though. meaning i can do lots of things but i usually do them for other people not myself. my energy has recently been spent trying to use art to save the world -or- at least affect a few lives. i use a certain rhetoric and have magical powers. how did i get like this? i grew up mostly in rural wny. i went to school in buffalo and really got into the DIY film/video scene and indie rock n' roll. in 2006 i won a grant and traveled across the country cause i could. after graduating i ran away to the mountains of massachusetts for 6.5 months and lost a few marbles. as a result i moved back to buffalo, to start a non-profit alternative artspace called sugar city. sugar city is up and running and i am enjoying the leisure of being a freelance artist. i like vampires, am afraid of the dark, have a favorite blanket and believe in ghosts. my favorite color is grey.
