About Me

CURRENT MISSION

figuring out this "mission" as I go... :)

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist and I love to travel, especially on the road, especially the back roads. My favorite trips have been pretty spontaneous and even without a particular destination in mind.
Don't be fooled by my quiet nature, I love meeting people and sharing stories, being adventurous and a little rebellious.

PHILOSOPHY

Values that are important to me... honesty, respect, love and authenticity. Maybe that falls under honesty, too, but it's important and fulfilling to be true to who you are. Everything seems to fall into place this way. Constantly figuring out my own character, and enjoying the process. Be a compassionate human being. Love a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Open to hosting and surfing, and whatever other CS adventures come my way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Excellence. I've done just a little bit of hosting, surfing, ridesharing and combining forces with other adventurers.

Interests

Glass blowing is my favorite art medium. It's fascinating and like playing with lava. I also thoroughly enjoy drawing, painting, reading, puzzles, being in the sunshine, having really lovely experiences with strangers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ok, three good picks...
Death Proof
Fleet Foxes
Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

MacGyvering a way into the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde.

Teach, Learn, Share

This has nothing to do with couch surfing, but it could.
Picking up the Harper's next to me and sharing some of the findings. Let's see...
Australian scientists discovered a population of dolphins among whom a technique of using sponges to catch small fish has been passed from mothers to daughters for the past 180 years. Trained lemon sharks can pass along behaviors to naive sharks. A woman in Beaulieu-sur-Mer, France, was embraced by an octopus while aqua-biking. A woman in Fort De Soto Park, Florida, turned herself in to police for riding a manatee.
