ABOUT ME

decided to redo this after looking at other CS profile! haha

I really like travelling, the year 2011 was the year of airports. Every 3 weeks i was flying off to some destination, unknown and known. As for me, i totally love immersing myself in the culture which is why whenever i go to a city, i stay there for long periods, i dont try to maximise my trip by going many places, just taking each day as it comes and making decisions the last minute (although thts not who i really am in daily life!)

Which is why couchsurfing appeals to me, i dont believe in being a stranger/ghost just passing by without leaving an imprint, i hope to learn more about the culture and talk to the locals, and hopefully at least 1 person remembers me and ive managed an imprint.

Personal philosophy. i wish i had one, but for 2011, it was to just do it, i did everything that came my way, took every opportunity and just ran with it. For 2012, im not sure, we shall see hahahahaha

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well i guess the best experience i had was with Arisa a japanese girl i met in Tokyo, we met twice, and the 2nd time she brought me to eat okonomiyaki and even cooked for me! i even have the video as proof. we really clicked interms of music and fast forward a few months later, we met in Singapore for Zoukout! Totally enjoy our time!

Best experience ever, and only in Couchsurf!

Interests

Im right now training for a triathlon after not training for over a year. I'm also starting to cook after not cooking for a long time haha

I really love music, love all sorts, Justice, Daft Punk, Libertines, Oasis, Coldplay, The XX, etc etc, just too many to name!

Love movies as well, Before Sunset, Before Sunrise, most of Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, Leonardo Dicaprio, Ed Norton, Tom Hanks, any movies by them i totally love!

I love eating good food, and i can safely say im a food snob, how i wish i cld just eat good food everyday!

Books, love Ayn Rand, Grisham, Totto Chan, gosh too many to name, love most kinds of books, if only i had more time to read books

Currently reading Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama, totally recommend that book to anyone, its about spirituality rather than religion, which i think concerns everyone

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doing Couchsurfing! I know its not that amazing, but now i travel alone rather than travel with friends or family. I rely solely on couchsurfing and i love the freedom and unfamiliarity now!
