About Me

I'm Italian but I get now my bachelor degree here in Belgium.
Now I am applying for a job.
From 2013 to 2017 I lived in Aalst, a little flemish village.
Since April 2017 I live in Herent, in Leuven :)

I am a service engineer for airports and I travel more than 50%

During my university college I had to pay my study by meself and so I worked every weekend

I know a lot about public transport in Belgium (Flemish part)

In 2009-2010 I was an afs exchange-student in Belgium.
I lived in french hostfamily but i went to a flemish school.
After my AFS-experience I decided to become a volunteer of the organisation
(AFS Intercultural Programs is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to meet and know new people.
My home is a student room but I can host from 1 to 2 people.

I like CS.
Open your home to people that you don't know from others cultures, religions, countries.
Being inside a culture and being with local people is a much better way to learn about the place you're staying.

Interests

Sport (bike and rugby)
AFS
I like hiking but here in Belgium there are no mountains.
When I go back to Italy, on holiday, I go with my friends to the mountains ( Alps)
Cooking...I am a very good cook ( all sort of pastas)
I like eating and tasting new foods =)

I am learning to repair bikes and in my free time I repair my friend's bikes.
If you don't need a host but you need a bike checkout. You are alwas welcome

My interests and my little city where I lived

Aalst (Dutch pronunciation: [aːlst]; French: Alost, Local dialect: Oilsjt) is a city and municipality on the Dender River, 31 kilometres (19 mi) northwest from Brussels. It is located in the Flemish province of East Flanders in the Denderstreek.

Aalst is famous for its carnival festivities, celebrated every year before Lent. During this celebration, the former town hall belfry is the site of the traditional "throwing of the onions".A Prince Carnival is elected, who is allowed to "rule" the city for three days. A big parade crosses the city on Sunday, with about 70 groups of costumed volunteers and parade cars. Carnival Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday (by tradition, the day before Ash Wednesday), is known as the day of the 'Voil Jeannetten' (literally: "the Dirty Jennies"),, men dressed as women. The festivities traditionally end with the "Burning of the Doll", happening on Tuesday evening.
