Hello travelers and hosts!
My name is Ameen and I have been traveling around all my life. Unfortunately, I hadn't really gotten to live anywhere (other than New York City) for a long period of time until I loved to Liberia in 2012 and worked for the Peace Corps. I was able to host a few travelers, but never formally joined the couchsurfing community until now! Exciting.

I have a strong belief that to make the most out of traveling, one needs to know someone who can really introduce them to the place and culture. Hostels are great for that, but I prefer an even more personal experience and couchsurfing seems to be a perfect fit.

I'm interested in all aspects of culture - where that be architectural, culinary, artistic, or partying! I'm also a beach-bum, a hiker, a (bad) surfer, a snorkeler, and a conversationalist.
