Overview
About Me
I'm a data engineer in the financial technology space (fintech) currently building my career. I have strong interests in the social sciences and love meeting new people. I consider myself friendly, fairly easy-going, liberal and maybe a little bit quirky. I do think that it's important to value the small, priceless things in life.
The cool thing about my job is that it is pretty flexible and i am able to work from anywhere in the world with a stable internet connection, so that would be preferable for me.
I love music of all kinds, from various regions, acoustic and electronic. I am fairly liberal but respectful of all ways of life. I also have interests in psychology and philosophy and take a keen interest in people. I enjoy understanding and coming to terms with different cultures.
I definitely value travelling a lot, and hope to make more time for it going forward. Next up i'm heading to Beirut, in February 2019 and would love to connect with locals, the people of Beirut fascinate me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to interact with locals in countries i would like to visit, and possibly offer the same, despite my busy work life. When i travel i make sure that i interact with locals and gain some understanding of life elsewhere, and I prefer not to only do touristy things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love most philosophy books, social commentary and critical thought. I don't watch many movies anymore, i lean towards artsy films and classics. Documentaries are my favourite.
I love most kinds of music, from classical, jazz, blues all the way through to electronic music, beats, jazzhop, house, techno and even world music / fusion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can think of a few, but if travel-related then i've stayed in the desert in NorthWest India with local nomads for a few days. I still have fond memories thereof.
Teach, Learn, Share
