About Me
I AM TRAVELLING THROUGH EUROPE RIGHT NOW AND I AM NOT AVAILABLE IN SYDNEY TO MEET UP!
I'm just looking to make sense of the world and how I fit in by seeing more of it, and having some great adventures along the way. I used to dream of being a corporate lawyer, but then I turned 25 and had an existential crisis and wondered if career>marriage>kids>retirement was all there is to life. So I said, bugger it, I'll save up some money and go travelling, and so I did.
I spent five months in South East Asia from November to April 2015, and now I'm looking to kick off my Europe trip. I love travelling solo because it forces me to get out and meet new people, and couchsurfing is an extension of that idea.
After my travels through the UK and Europe, I will be settling down in London to live and work for two years, courtesy of a working holiday visa. I will be able to give back to the couchsurfing community at that point.

Music, Movies, and Books
I adore EDM (electronic dance music). For those of you not in the know, that includes dubstep, dnb, house, electro-swing, glitch-hop, psy-trance etc. I've heard the UK and Europe have amazing electronic scenes compared to our little one in Sydney, so I'd be verrry grateful if someone could give me some guidance :)
I read a lot of stuff - I made the conversion from tangible books to e-books about six months ago and never looked back. It's so much more practical for a traveller. To give you an idea of what I like, here are last five books I read:
* Nothing to Envy - a non-fiction book with tales of escapees from North Korea
* To Kill a Mockingbird
* Mr Nice - the story of Howard Nice, a convicted marijuana smuggler
* 1984 (a reread)
* I am Malala - the story of the 17 year old Pakistani woman who won the Nobel Peace prize for protesting about the lack of access education for women in Pakistan. She was shot in the head by the Taliban.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Swimming with whale sharks in the Philippines. I got so close to them that they accidentally smacked me with their fins a few times!
Getting my diving license was another highly memorable experience.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, some drinks and some tall stories! If course I clean up after myself and others, and try not to be intrusive.
