'About us'

Hey everyone! My best friend Agnes and I are currently finishing high school in Austria and will be attending uni starting in fall. I am from San Diego but have been living in Villach, Austria for 8 years, but will be going back to the US to start my studies in food science at UMass. Agnes is half-Polish but has been living in Villach her whole life and will be going to the University of Maastricht next year studying Biomedical science! We are pretty active and love exploring cities on foot, tasting local foods and discovering the local history and culture. Our hobbies include baking, participating in the European Youth Parliament, playing the guitar & piano, and going out to eat.

We are very interested in getting to know new people and can't wait to explore what Europe has to offer!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best friend Agnes and I are Interrailing through Europe for 3 weeks from Vienna to Porto during our summer before college. As we are in each city for 2-3 days, we are trying to connect with the local culture as much as possible and not fall into tourist traps. I have privately couchsurfed before when traveling with the European Youth Parliament and have had great hosts which lead to enriching stays, so it seemed like the perfect experience to replicate all throughout Europe.

Unfortunately, as we both still live with our parents we cannot host at this time.
