Overview
About Me
From Alabama USA, went to college in New Orleans and I currently live in Chicago, Illinois USA now where I work in live events and theater/film operations. I was in Argentina for a little bit so am passable at conversational Spanish as long as you can live with my porteño accent. Just started learning German since I'm going to Berlin to visit my best friend later this year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
General travel, I like cooking in an actual kitchen and hanging out with people so private hotels/air bnb aren't my first choice normally.
I used this a few times while living in Argentina and had really wonderful experiences. I'd love to be a host at some point to pay it forward (apartment currently has no room)
Interests
Pretty adaptable, I like knowing a little bit about everything so even if I don't know much about what folks are talking about I want to hear what they're talking about! I'll enjoy most things as long as the people I'm with are excited about it.
I like reading and biking and listening to music. Really enjoy figuring out how things are made (clothes, street signs, pottery, truly anything)
- literature
- mardi gras
- walking
- gardening
- reading

- lakes

Music, Movies, and Books
music to dance to (Chappell Roan right now), movies with happy endings (Fall Guy lately), and any kind of book (currently reading The Rachel Incident)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I won a corn shucking contest once, got to take home all of the corn I shucked!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm good at doing clothes repair -- any buttons that need put back on? I got ya covered
If you'd like a meal give me any recommendations and I can probably whip something up (can make shakshuka, enchiladas, latkes, and a great pesto quinoa dish all blindfolded, but am good at figuring most other recipes out)
