CURRENT MISSION
To fill everyday with new experiences and to meet tons of interesting folks
ABOUT ME
....started out by taking an art class in NYC and I've been addicted to seeing the new and having adventures ever since. After graduating from college, I worked at a camp in upstate NY, on an organic farm in MD and for the park service in gorgeous Alaska, and backpacked around the US a bit. I most recently spent 2011 intentionally homeless in search of adevntures and found them! Then I worked on an organic farm in gorgeous western WA.
I'm a painter, love gardening and farming, cooking and baking, dogs, kids, photography, biking, hiking, kayaking, and yoga. I'm a recycler, dumpster-diver, thrifter, lover of mountains and all things outdoors. I'm really goofy, laid back, and open to all kinds of people.I laugh at anything, am way too honest and way too awkward for my own good.
PHILOSOPHY
I find that when I keep my heart in the right place and treat others as I'd like to be treated, that things just work out for the best.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't used this site much yet. The couches I've come by have been mostly by meeting random people on the road, but I'm excited to use it more often!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What comes to mind first is a kayak trip in Alaska, miles away from anyone, bushwhacking, camping, seeing whales, jellies, eagles. The water was so clean, everything was quiet and awe-inspiring, untouched by people, whale lunge-feeding right beside my kayak.
Reminds me of a John Muir quote-something to the effect of: I went to the river and mountains and was well again.
Another amazing thing was spending most of 2011 living out of a car with my partner Mike while we traveled the states, camping, biking, canoeing, swimming, etc. Best days ever!!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can whistle/bird call with my hands. I've taught a few yoga classes. I'm a bleeding heart when it comes to anything about global warming/the environment-ask me!
I grew up on a farm, so I know a ton about gardening and animals.
I'm trying to learn the harmonica, but it's been slow going.
