About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to be as happy as I can be.
ABOUT ME
I'm Amelia, I live in Warsaw, Poland. I'm half Australian (never been to Australia though :c), but my first language was actually French. I have a brother and 2 cats. I like music (played violin for 2 years), writing, drawing, singing, dancing, sports (I used to train karate, rhythmic gymnastics, volleyball, ultimate frisbee - only for a little while, but I liked it, golf, football), learning foreign languages, cooking and... making miniature furniture :D I work part-time as a nanny, sometimes I teach languages (the most challenging job I had to do was to teach a French girl about Polish grammar rules, which can be really confusing, even for native speakers sometimes ;D).
I'd love to travel and live in different countries, get to know new cultures, volunteer abroad (especially in Africa, Australia and South America).
I'm quite sensitive and sometimes shy, I like listening to people, I love thinking, daydreaming and getting lost in my imaginary world. The thing I like about myself is synaesthesia (look it up, it's quite fascinating, got me interested in biological sciences :D).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycled I dunno how many kilometres (over 40) first in terrible heat, than in pouring rain, with a 20 kg backpack on, at night. I was with my friends, we got lost a couple times, had to stop in a church to wait for the storm to pass. My bicycle (which is pretty old btw) started breaking down halfway through the journey, we had to repair my bike chain in the middle of a mud puddle over 10 cm deep, then, when we were going uphill (on a dark, uneven road), my dynamo gave up, which was pretty scary, given that there were many trucks passing us at breakneck speed. When we finally arrived, after an exhausting last stage of the journey, which we had to cycle really fast to avoid being chased by some dogs, we were completely soaked, aching all over our bodies, but happy. Our muscles were sore the next few days, but the feeling of accomplishment was the greatest reward.
