Hi!
I'm Amelia - an artist and teacher from Victoria. Recently I moved to Nelson to study art therapy. Before Nelson I studied art in Baltimore and taught English in Vietnam. I've been incredibly lucky to travel a lot in my life. A few highlights:

Working on a documentary crew in Nicaragua
Studying aparthied's affect on modern art in South Africa
Three months alone in India to study yoga and sit with my teacher
A road trip alone, camping down the west coast of the USA
A ten day Vipassana meditation course in Hong Kong

Some of the best moments in my travelling have been the unexpected friendships formed in hosting and being hosted. There is something really special about the depth of friendships created when hosting/being hosted. I want to jump at opportunities to resonate with travellers with a similar ethos and thrill for life.
