About Me

Hello Couchsurfers!

My name is Amelie, I am 18 years old and about to do something- as my family describes it- crazy... I am going to attempt the Panamericana with a backpack. After I graduated in 2017 I realised that I need to explore the world rather than start university directly. It took me one year to save enough money, I am truly happy to finally quit my full-time job as a waitress, and to work out this plan which basically just consists of the starting point-Seattle and Buenos Aires - the city from which I will hopefully fly back home. In the meantime I hope to learn as much as possible about myself, the people and the country's I am going to visit. So far so good- that's what I do.

I know that I don't have any references and that I'm not verified. I just never had the chance to make any experience with couchsurfing, yet I am pretty excited to try it and learn from it.
If you like , you can check out my Facebook and Instagram Profil so that you have some proof that I am a real person that just wants to enjoy her time on this planet.

Music, Movies, and Books

I did read a lot from Paulo Coelho lately. Probably because I am actually quite nervous and a little bit anxious about traveling alone for the first time so that I needed someone to encourage me to "live my dream".. Maybe you can understand what I mean by reading this quote: “Going after a dream has a price. It may mean abandoning our habits, it may make us go through hardships, or it may lead us to disappointment. But however costly it may be, it is never as high as the price paid by people who didn’t live.”

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hope to be able to answer this question in a few months!
