About Me
This text was written 4 years ago and I've definitely have changed and grown since then, but I don't have time to edit it in detail right now and it's actually quite cute so I'll just leave this little travel back in time here for now haha:
So it says 'all about you'... nobody can describe all about themselves, but I can try to give you a little insight and then you can make your mind up yourself, okay?:)
Blueberries are my favourite fruit. I'm a very uncomplicated and spontaneous person. I never like to miss an adventure or the opportunity to meet some crazy new people, because on travels I realized, that you can always learn something from every connection you make (may it even be the drunk hobo who sits in front of your hostel every night). I hate how many people think it's okay to judge others life choices and situations before they know them or even after, it's a mystery that remains unresolved to me. I've met the most amazing people, by just smiling to them on the streets.:)
PHILOSOPHY
I truly believe that optimism can change a lot, really really a lot in life. Yes, that could be a little naive but as long as it makes me stay as happy and life-loving as I am, I think I will stick with it.;)
"What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are." - Anthony Robbins
“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've surfed a few times and hosted once, so unfortunately not much yet. But I love the community and the CS Events. I plan to travel and host heaps in the remaining and next year, so hopefully I'll have more stories to tell soon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing was an amazing experience. It was great to see everything from a locals perspective and to be introduced to all the special aussie stuff. I also enjoyed showing my home town to strangers. You suddenly realize how pretty it actually is :)
Interests
Originally in this section I talked about how much I love travelling, getting to know new cultures etc. and all that is still totally true. But over the past few years I've realized that all the things I do have one underlying interest: Connection.
Connection to other humans through good conversations and spontaneous adventures and to myself through yoga, meditation and art. It makes me feel most alive.:)
- photography
- festivals
- cooking
- yoga
- meditation
- reading
- traveling
- drawing
- sports
- volleyball
- video editing
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm quite a movie fanatic. So if anyone is interested in a DVD Evening with Pizza, I'm definitely in.:) I watch pretty much everything, but if it's a dull action movie, I'll probably fall asleep.
There are times, where I hardly read and times where I turn into a book worm, it really depends. Currently I love Brené Brown.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Experiences that make me very grateful to be on this earth right now:
Sunrise hiking volcanos in Indonesia
Meditating in Bali with beautiful souls
Seeing Tony Robbins live in London with my friends
Living in San Sebastián for 4 months
Trusting my intuition
Teach, Learn, Share
I could probably teach you English or German, I used to speak French and Spanish as well but it got a bit rusty, so I would be happy to fresh it up. Otherwise I have decent video editing and photoshop skills and I'm beginning to dive deeper into meditation and yoga which I am not expert at but I am always happy to share what life has taught me so far.
