I'm a full-time student in Edinburgh with a thirst for travel! ♡ More than anything I want to see the world, and I'm eager to experience new things and explore different cultures and perspectives.

I enjoy cooking! Mostly vegetarian or fish dishes. And travelling around, especially discovering lesser known spots in a city. I'm also a huge nature nerd (although heartbreakingly poor at hiking). If my friends had to describe me in three words, they would probably be: passionate, pragmatic, (very bad) puns. I love to read and write and storytelling is my biggest passion in life -- be that listening to strangers in foreign cafes or writing about a fantasy world.

I'm a practicing Muslim, very passionate about charities and the environment, and I care a lot about kindness and respect. I study Law and History -- to gain a better understanding of the world, and then to also have the tools to try make it better for people not born with the privileges I was as best I can.

This sounds very serious... I really believe in, if you try something, you give it your all. I love travelling the world and making friends from all over; it is something I will never ever tire of. :)

(Something else you should know about me is that I'm always cracking jokes and laughing. That's a little hard to convey via text but it's true, I promise. I'm even grinning as I type this. 😋)

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I love being able to meet locals so easily, it's better for the environment and so flexible, and it gives me the chance to make new friends or at least peek into someone else's world for a moment! Making friends all around the world just makes me really happy. There's also the fact that it's free but that's not really primarily why I'm here... 😂

Interessen

I love to write stories and books, and I can talk about fictional worlds all day. I'm a giant movie nerd (Jurassic Park and Alien being all-time favourites) and love to read both books and manga.

I'm really passionate about the environment and tackling climate change, and in my free time volunteer for a service and helpline for students struggling with mental illness and such. I love politics (even though they make me angry sometimes) and am always down for a debate or discussion over drinks!! Other than that, I enjoy volleyball and my one true love in life is good food.

I really love travelling and especially seeing the less touristy side of things. Different cultures are endlessly fascinating to me. I wish to travel for my whole life.

I was raised bilingual and bicultural and I love to share both my heritage and homeland with people. My favourite way to do that is with food! :D

I'm a native English and Urdu/Hindi speaker so if you're learning those languages I can give you conversational practice. I can also cook if you'd like as well; I'm not great at it but it's something I really enjoy.
