About Me

I am an Egyptian Muslim 24 year old girl. I love cultures, arts, history, and languages. That's why I chose languages as my field of studies my major was Korean and minor English plus native language studies. I love experiencing and trying out new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love solo travelling but from experience I know that the kind that I love is were I meet people from the country I'm visiting interact and discover the culture in depth. As an Egyptian I can tell you that you would never fully know the culture and explore the cities unless you meet Egyptians and they show you all the secrets of the country and it's people. And when you're not just another job to them and they're genuinely just interested in learning about your culture and introducing you to theirs, that's when you have amazing relationships that could last for a long time. The best thing is that I could find all of that here on Couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe to others it's not but for me it is. When I was just a 12 year old I made two really long term goals. I've loved languages and cultures since I was little. So taking my aunt as a role model I made my first goal to get to Faculty of Al-Alsun, which was considered then the best, oldest, most difficult languages school to get admitted to in Egypt, I'll be the first on my class, get a scholar ship and travel, I decided that I wouldn't just watch these places anymore I would really go there and see it, which my culture and country could make really difficult so I thought I'd start it off with a scholarship and make my way from there to my still growing list of countries I want to visit.

My second goal was Italy, I saw the movie Only You (1994) on TV and thought to myself this has got be the most beautiful country ever, and since I've hunted for every foreign TV series and movie on our very limited cable channels and local TV I could get my hand on, I thought myself an expert :D . I still think Italy is the most beautiful, and I really hope that when I actually go there, it would be everything I imagined and more. So after years dreaming I'm finally able to travel to Italy and I'm planing to go there soon.
