Hey guys, I am Amer! I'm from Jordan and I feel happy living here as I enjoy the people, streets, art, culture, and history. And I am an Arabic tutor for non-native speakers and have been teaching students from a variety of back rounds for the past several years. I understand that being a foreigner either living or touring around in a different place (like the Middle East), with a different language (like Arabic) can be very intimidating. For this reason, I have developed a quick, fun and interactive experience that will give you the essential vocabulary in Arabic to ensure you have a more pleasant stay while in Jordan. Knowing the basic pleasantries, how to order food, how tell people where you are from etc. will open up your world and deepen your communication and understanding of the locals while in Jordan! It is clear that best way to learn a language is through applying it in real life! Why not speak a bit of Arabic (local colloquial dialect) while taking a small immersion walk in Amman! I am going to help you develop and practice your basic spoken language skills in a low-key, but real world setting; allowing you to gain more confidence while communicating in Arabic. I will teach you the basic expressions and necessities.

During the first hour, we'll go over the pleasantries, vocabulary and practical language uses, related to real-world circumstances you will face while here in Jordan. Then we'll take a cultural visit to talk about the city and the places I will show you. By partaking in this friendly conversational activity, it will help you develop interactive speaking and listening in situations where you may not have been comfortable negotiating the situation prior.

I intend to motivate you to keep learning Arabic after you realize that informal spoken language is less difficult than you may have thought. The experience is for one to four people with a basic to low-intermediate level. It doesn't matter if you are a first time beginner, as I also speak English.
