ABOUT ME

I have a free spirit and a huge passion for travel. I have been to more than 45 countries around the world and want to go to every country possible in the next 10-15 years. I am originally from Jordan and have moved to USA 10 years ago where I became a naturalized US citizen. I have just moved few months ago to work at Yale as a cancer doctor and researcher and I love what I do.

I try my best to balance my work and research with my travel passion, and so far managed to do that well. I especially enjoy backpacking, meeting locals, discovering new cultures. I enjoy arts and museums, mountains and hikes, villages and history. I love archaeology and seeing how much in common people of the earth have. CS has been an amazing experience in which I met great people and made wonderful new friends from several of the countries I visited and I stayed in touch with after my travels. I hope to continue to meet new people and make friends all over the world.

I also believe there would be much less wars and conflicts if people traveled more and got to know how similar we are and that many of the stereotypes are not true..

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meeting locals and interesting people in every country I visit. I love to learn about the customs, traditions, and history of the countries I visit from the locals. The cities I have lived in the USA are not touristy, but I would be more than happy to host/meet couchsurfers as my work/travel schedule allows.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A newbie. Despite being a seasoned traveler and hearing about the site, I just registered. Nonnetheless, I always stayed in hostels and met fellow travelers and locals and shared amazing experiences and
