About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid across the line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, leaking oil, shouting GERONIMO!
ABOUT ME
-----------------------------------------------------
NOTICE 7/21/2010: I will be unavailable to host from 7/24/2010 through 8/24/2010 because I will be traveling to the Northwest. Feel free to message me about dates after 8/24, as I will be able to host then. :) Safe & happy travels.
-----------------------------------------------------
This is extremely hard to SUM UP, but here goes.
In one word, I am eclecticism.
I'm a biker - my VTX ('Charlie') is a huge part of my life and I love her deeply. I also just bought a 2010 Harley Road King Classic.
I'm a gamer and enjoy video games, board games, and table-top RPGs.
I'm a computer geek and make my living using my laptop and the internets. (Yes, pluralizing 'internet' is both improper and intentional)
I'm a huge music freak. I am classically trained in piano (but by no means an expert - I definitely fall into the 'student' category). I also play a little guitar and bass. Would love to learn how to play the fiddle...Charlie Daniels anyone?
I'm from Texas originally, and like other native Texans, I'm proud of it.
I'm a big fan of boots. My favorite pair are a pair of hand-made, hand-embroidered black leather cowboy boots that are at this point...well...let's say 'well used'.
I like going dancing, partying, drinking...whatever as long as I'm with cool people.
I'm energetic, persistent, fiercely tenacious, and goal-oriented.
I think that (a) if you set your mind to something you truly want, nothing can stand in your way but your own fears, (b) nobody has any power to make you do anything that you don't choose to do [which gives rise to my political views...did I mention I was from Texas?], and (c) while proving that other people are wrong is fun, proving to yourself that YOU are wrong, especially when it comes to ideas you have about yourself, is much more fulfilling and worthwhile.
I love learning new things and love meeting new people! Despite my over-opinionated nature, I love hearing alternate points of view and hearing ideas I've never heard before! I love a good conversation.
PHILOSOPHY
âLife is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well preserved piece, but to skid across the line broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, leaking oil, shouting GERONIMO!â
Everyone has the right to speak out against injustice and to defend themselves, their families, their dogs, horse, and bible from those who cause it.
Don't Mess with Texas. ($1,000 fine for littering) =]
Don't judge a person by what they were born with. Judge them by what they've been able to do with it.
Don't judge. Those who believe they are qualified to judge another are the least able to do so.
You cannot love unless you love universally.
Stupidity is not a sin, but it is the only universally enforced capital crime. The punishment is death, there is no appeal, and sentencing is carried out immediately and without pity. This law is known as Natural Selection.
Never corner a short person. They'll kill you.
Look Twice, Save a Life. Bikers are Everywhere.
To My Brothers' who Ride Flesh or Steel Horses:
Don't piss off people on 4-wheels. You may get away, but they'll take out that anger on the next motorcycle they see. That next motorcycle could be me. That next motorcycle could be you. Ride safe and be considerate, especially to those who control more mass than you!
Dead Right: You may be RIGHT, but you're still DEAD.
Law of Tonnage: He who controls the most tonnage has right of way, period. Refer to above if you disagree.
To those who Drive Horseless Carriages:
Don't piss off a biker. They have friends.
If you value your windshield and your radiator, don't tailgate a biker. He's carrying ball bearings.
"Take what you can, give nothing back." (Note: The meaning that should be derived from this is 'derive as much from life as you can and regret none of it'. This statement does not condone stealing.;)
"Get what you Love and Love what you Get."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most beautiful thing I have ever seen was while flying a route from Monterrey Mexico to Houston Texas around 8pm in the summer. The sun was getting low on the horizon, the sky was orange, the clouds seemed like blue streaks painted lazily across the sky. It was a picture of Heaven.
