About Me
Hello, I am a current Spanish Teaching Assistant at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. I work for the Fulbright Program sponsored by the Department of State of USA. I'm from Venezuela. I'm married to the loveliest husband and we have a dog together. I was born and raised in a small town in the south of Venezuela but moved out to study when I was 17 years old to Valencia city in the north and near the Caribbean
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, first because I cannot think of any other way to get meeting the culture and places better than with locals. Second of all, when I first moved out from my hometown I was very welcome by locals in the city and they helped me to understand and enjoy my experience living far from home. And finally, because "there's no place like home" even we love travelling we still want to feel like we are home and not in a cold place (hotel).
Interests
We as family love the beach. We particularly love outdoor places. We love trying new things. Every year we travel together to two places or more in Venezuela that we haven't visited before, we try the food, meet local people, go to restaurants and try to spend time in the beach or the pool. The weather in Venezuela is very warm (hot sometimes) all around the year so spending some time in the beach, river or pool is always welcome. We also love cooking for each other. One way to say I love you in Venezuelan is to cook for others. We spend a lot of time cooking for family and friends.
