ABOUT ME

Once I started traveling in 2011, I've been an absolute travel addict. I traveled to 25 countries from February 2014-May 2015, worked for a bit of time at an engineering firm in Portland (Oregon), quit my job, and then traveled to India. I am FINALLY pursuing my dreams of a career in international development by gaining some hands on experience working for the Peace Corps in Peru. I'm hoping to one day work for the UN.

I have a masters degree in Civil Engineering hydraulics (basically the science of how water moves) so I love the topic of water in terms of environmental causes and how remote areas of the world can access it. I pursed my degree in Colorado, and in the meantime fell in love with everything the state has to offer, hiking, greatttt beer, and above all, snowboarding.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is such an intimate and authentic way of traveling and understanding the culture by staying with locals. I've honestly only couchsurfed once but the experience was awesome and I love the whole idea and spirit behind it.
