About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore and experience the world as much as I can. I mean, we only live once! Hopefully I will be able to combine traveling with medical volunteering later in life!

ABOUT ME

"Outgoing, fun, always up for meeting new people and experiencing new things!"- this short description is pretty accurate in explaining who I am. However, I'd like to add a few more things...

I grew up in a really small city in Kentucky with only ~30,000 people. Because of this, I've always been curious in seeing other countries. Somehow, I've only had the chance to hit Europe and Africa a few times and no where else.

I've been to 77 countries, and I'm addicted to stepping foot on even more! I'd really like to travel around in Asia where my heritage is from.

PHILOSOPHY

"Limits are physical, barriers are psychological."- sometimes our minds create more barriers in life, such as with traveling. I have had the chance to travel because I try my best to make it happen. I think this also holds true for many other opportunities in life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd always stayed in hostels and with friends while traveling. Because this is my last trip in Europe before leaving to go back to the US for good (my one-year study just ended in Berlin), I'd like to experience something new. I've always heard good things about Couchsurfing from friends and people I've met at hostels. I'm always up for meeting new people because that is what makes a city memorable a lot of times, and not the city itself!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed five time, twice in Doha and Dubai in 2014, and three times in Britain and Malta back in 2012, and all the experiences have been great. All the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. It was so nice to get local hospitality. I also had dinner with a host who couldn't me at the last minute, but it was really nice of her to invite me over for dinner and meet a new fellow traveler!

After waiting 1 year I am now on another trip that I can couchsurf again!

Interests

traveling, reading, animals- I have a big heart for animals. I own a bunny, two chinchillas, and two hamsters.

Don't worry, none of them is traveling with me ;)
