About Me

Hi!
I'm 21, an architecture student and am about to embark on exchange in
Turin, Italy, which is ridiculously exciting. I live in Sydney now, but grew up in both Tasmania and Canberra, both amazing places in Aus that everyone should visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In 2012 I travelled and stayed in hostels the entire time - which was an experience, but not one that I am looking forward to again. I'd like to truly experience a cities culture and the real vibe of wherever I am - and I feel like couch surfing can help me with that. Some of my greatest friends right now are ones I met while travelling last time, and I'd love to make some more!

Interests

I am obsessed with baking - and am fairly good at it, my speciality being chocolate mud pie and lemon meringue tarts. I bake when I'm really stressed or when I'm super happy - so you can expect lots of baked goods coming your way if you decide to host me. I love to sing and I play a modest amount of guitar - I love a good jam sesh. I also freaking love kareoke - even if I protest, take me to a kareoke bar.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Kimbra is my favourite artist of all time - little new zealand lady who has an amazing voice and a jazzy vibe. Apart from that the only music I can't get into is heavy metal and screamo. At the moment I'm listening to lots of soulful jazzy stuff and old rock - think Aretha, Natalie Cole, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, The Police, Talking Heads etc.

Books - I'm obsessed with anything by Chuck Palaniuk. Fight Club is my top favourite with Invisible Monsters coming second. I'm reading Lullaby right now and loving it. Also anything by Steven King - Doctor Sleep is pure brilliance.

Movies - Where to begin? Top 5 at the moment
1. Fifth Element
2. Closer
3. Breakfast at Tiffany's
4. Chappie
5. Frances Ha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I've stayed at a nudist camp with my friends in Croatia
- Driven through the winding roads of Croatia and it's islands
- Lived in Italy for 6 months while studying

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to bake? I study architecture, and have done graphics so if you're having any issues with an Adobe program or Rhino I could lend a hand. I can share great banter and hilarious anecdotes of my life?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Baking! And good chats over beer! I'm also super cleanly and anxious about being on time to everything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, United Kingdom
