Currently travelling around se Asia, meeting lots of amazing people and seeing lots of amazing things! Please bear with me while I try to upload photos, I'm struggling a bit with this for some reason! Never know what to put in these about me sections really, but I'm good fun, trustworthy and respectful, so I guess these are good assets for a couchsurfer to have! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in meeting local people who can give me tips on the local area and who can maybe give me a different perspective than that of the regular backpacker trail. I love meeting new people, exploring and having fun, so thought couchsurfing sounded like my kinda thing!

Interests

I love film, music and art, but also love being active, so walking/hiking/caving/yoga are my activities of choice at the moment...obviously love travel and finding out about different cultures and coupled with this trying new types of food! Food is good. haha. I also enjoy a good glass of wine, a superior coffee and a craft ale or two, preferably coupled with said good food, good company and a beautiful view. I love the ocean and I'm hoping to improve on my surfing now I'm exposed to more of it...we don't get much of it in Manchester ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of film and music, but my favourite directors include David lynch and Lars von trier and my favourite music would be of the alternative variety, particularly punk/new wave and grunge. I'm really into 'arthouse' film and love anything surreal or of the avant garde. I rarely find time to read unfortunately, which is ironic as my degree was in literature and philosophy! This I must improve on!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the trees of the Angkor Wat complex. I'm a massive tree hugger at the best of times,but these were something else!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can happily help people wanting to improve their English...I'm keen to improve my language skills too, especially in German, Spanish and French. I'd also love to improve on my language skills in the country I'm visiting at the time and learn about the local culture.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts a good time and a lot of laughs :) but also a respectful and a tidy guest! I'm trustworthy and considerate and would be very appreciative to anyone who chose to put me up.
