ABOUT ME

I was born in Algeria and I have traveled a lot through my country because of my parents' work.
I lived 10 years in the Algerian desert where I had an amazing childhood between the dunes and the stars.
At the age of 16 my family and I moved to France.
Today, I'm an arabic teacher at the University of Lorraine and I'm also a PhD student.

Overall I'm friendly...I laugh a lot (sometimes for no apparent reason...but there's some logic connections in my brain).
I'm energetic and lazy at the same time.
I'm sincere and passionate.
Sometimes I'm a quiet person and sometimes I'm talkative.
I'm positive...at least I try! I "Always look on the bright side of life" !
I'm empathic and generous but I don't share my cookies!!!!!!! :)
In sum, I'm a human being.
I'm contradictory.
I have ups and downs. But I prefer when I'm up in the sky.....

PHILOSOPHY

Actually, it is Serge Gainsbourg's quote : I know my limits that's why I go beyond them.
But to be honest I would say : life is a bitch until you die....so we must all try to make life pleasant by being happy and making others happy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a novice in the field. Many of my friends practice couchsurfing which made me want to try. It seems to be a simple way to travel and meet many peoples from d\t countries.

Interests

Hanging out with friends, drinking, eating a lot...
I love art (photography, drawing, painting...Etc).
I like literature, cinema and theatre.
I love dancing.
I practice sport (when I have the motivation).

Music, Movies, and Books

A long list! I hate these kinds of questions...There are too many movies, singers and writers to list them all ... I can just say that I love russian literature (Pouchkine, Gogol, Tourgueniev, Dostoïevski...), French literature (V. Hugo, Baudelaire, Maupassant, Breton...) and Arabic literature (Ghassan Kanafani, Qasim Amin, Gibran Khalil Gibran, Al-Manfalouti, Hanna Mina...). One of my favorite authors is the American writer John Steinbeck and I'm in love of the Romanian philosopher Emil M. Cioran.
I like all kind of music from Bob marley to Georges Brassens, sigur ros, Wax Tailor, Nina simon, the doors...NTM (French hip hop group)..Arab singer (Oum Kalthoum, Marcel Khalifa, Fairuz...)
I love cinema and I also like watching series such as Breaking Bad, Dexter (before it turns out to be a big disapointment), Weeds, Dead like me, Soprano, Six feet Under...etc!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was a kid, in the desert, my family and I we used to sleep on the roof to stargazing. There was no pollution, we were surrounded by thousands of stars. At 6yrs old, I realised the extent of the universe and at the same time my littleness. I felt totally free in the desert. The time was suspended. Like an addict, I'm looking for that feeling again....and again, and again.
