About Me

ABOUT ME

In reality, I'm generally a quiet person so signing up to this is a big thing for me but my interest in travelling trumps staying in my comfort zone.

I'm unsure about what I want to do in the upcoming year but I know university will definitely be at least 2/3 years. Until then, I want try to spend time getting to know about other people's cultures and exchange bits of language in prep for travelling in the future.

Thank you for reading, feel free to drop a message.

PHILOSOPHY

not sure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It'll be a fair while before I get to travel and actually couch surf but I'd like to meet and share people's experiences online or meeting up if in Leicester. It'd be good to expand my knowledge about people and various cultures before actually getting to travel, kinda like a head-start I guess.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet

Interests

Volunteering! reading, poetry, history, writing, music, doodling. Recently been putting up a couple of my doodles on to canvasses for friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies - Requiem for a Dream, Lucky Number Slevin, Shawkshank Redemption, Reservoir Dogs, 300 Spartans and Rise of an Empire, 127 Hours, Seven Years in Tibet, X-Men series

Music - a mix of stuff, not very keen on RnB and hip hop. Quite like instrumentals and film soundtracks, but actually don't watch many films.

Books - Genres I like include science-fiction, fantasy, crime, autobiographies, non-fiction, horror/suspense. Some of the books I've read include books by Stephen King, Philip Pullman, J.K. Rowling, Roald Dahl, Michael Morpurgo, Dan Brown books, the Eragon Series, A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Wasp Factory, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series, The Hunger Games trilogy, A Catcher In The Rye, 127 Hours, The Lovely Bones, The Innocent and other books by John Grisham, The Woman In Black, books by Neil Gaiman, The Dresden Files, The Twelve, The Rosie Project, Cloud Atlas, and so many more. More recent books that I've been reading have been non-fiction books. S'all good.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've met J.K. Rowling at her book signing event for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach - how to play the steel pans (African drums, I played the double second drums for five years)
Learn - far too much haha, wanna know lots of stuff
