About Me

I was born in Kosovo and have moved to Germany when I was one year old. Currently, I'm located in New Haven, CT, where I attend Yale University for an academic year. I am very open-minded and interested in many things, especially history, culture, arts, international relations. I love to travel and to see new places, famous cities and beautiful landscapes alike.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have already done CS twice in Russia, when my girlfriend (Peggy Hauer) visited me, but I had no profile on my own back then. We had a wonderful time in Moscow and St. Petersburg and had some great experience with our hosts. We also did CS on a two-week roadtrip through Florida and in Miami with amazing hosts. For the future I would like to continue this type of travelling and I am keen to host great people myself.

Interests

I love reading, traveling, watching movies and serials, I like to play and watch football (soccer), badminton and I started to play tennis recently. I also like hiking very much. My interests are definitely in history, literature, movies and politics and I enjoy going out with friends and chatting with them over a drink.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly German and American HipHop (and some French) and Yugoslavian music beginning from the 80's. I've read quite an amount of books, but my pile of shame grows steadily.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a semester in Moscow, one of the most astonishing cities I've been to and had a great time in Russia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you German of course, but also Serbian and Russian on a beginner level. We can also have great debates on politics and history or talk about life and philosophy. Almost every subject can be interesting for me and I am a good listener and very curious about things. I just want to widen my horizon and my knowledge about life and this world :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Egypt, France, Italy, Kosovo, Montenegro, Poland, Russian Federation, Serbia, Switzerland, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Kosovo, Russian Federation
