Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My purpose of being here is that I want to meet people while doing my favorite hobby; traveling. Hosts will play a key role in showing me around while keeping me accompanied and sharing insights about the most interesting spots in their cities. Similarly, I aim, in the near future, to host people when the circumstances allow. In doing this, I will be able to create friendships with people from different parts around the world.
Interests
I am mainly interested in literature, music, films, cooking, and traveling. I also enjoy doing photography (As a hobby) and hiking in certain occasions and places.

Music, Movies, and Books
They are not only my favorite hobbies but also my normal way of escapism. I don’t have a particular favorite genre, but I am always a big fan of the 80s music as well as post-rock. Thus, I like listening to Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, the Smiths, Mono…etc.
In terms of films, I overall admire the works of Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, and Quentin Tarantino among others. Dr Strangelove, the Godfather trilogy, Rosemary’s Baby, and Metropolis are among my top favorite films. I also love reading books, especially in the languages that I know, namely Arabic, English, German. Recently, I finished reading Jane Eyre and just started Ein Bild von einem Mann by Utta Danella.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I managed last Summer to do camping and hiking in the southern part of Poland along with my friends. I had been looking forward to this experience for a long time. It’s beyond amazing, especially when we crossed the borders between Poland and Slovakia on foot.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach my hosts and surfers useful Arabic phrases and words, tips and tricks which can be useful for them. Also, I can share with them interesting historical facts and stories about ancient and modern Egypt. This can extend to music, films, and cuisines. I am inclined to learn from my hosts and listen to their experiences which can guide me through the cities I want to visit. Also, I am willing to exchange with my hosts and surfers our knowledge of languages as I always find this area of huge interest.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am inclined to share with them certain thought-provoking aspects of my country and culture which they can utilise when they decide to visit it in the future. Also, I can share and cook for them delicious dishes from the Egyptian cuisine. The languages that I know can be another thing which can be exchanged as well as various topics of interest such as History, politics, arts, culture, literature, and music.
