Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Of course, it saves a lot of money, especially in europe. but it really is so much more than that. Last summer, hitchhiking and couchsurfing through italy, switzerland, and france, it felt like Iike I was surfing through the continent on a big wave of kindness. I can't think of any better way to connect with strangers, learn about their culture, and facilitate the kind of connections I think the world needs more of. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Woke up on the beach, drove up a volcano to see the sun rise over mars (pretty much) drove down to see a misty redwood forest, then drove back to sea level and hitchhiked back to the jungle. :)

trying (and failing) to hike the TMB
volunteering in a castle in the loire valley
swimming in the gulf of thailand surrounded by phosphorescent plankton
and so much more!!! :)
