About Me
This Amira Mahmoud from Egypt. I'm international student with fully funded scholarship from American department of state. One of the main goals in this scholarship, is the culture exchange and represent our local communities. That's why I am interested in Couchsurfing
Before I came to USA, I had worked as a journalist for 4 years. I am a graduate of Suez Canal University with a degree in French language. interested in democracy, human rights, and internet governance. I love traveling, chess, meet new people and learn about the other culture

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I participated in several international and regional conferences such as Civic Education Conference (CEC) in Tunisia, which discusses the current state of civic education in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Also I participated in a program on internet governance in the MENA region. As one of the program’s top alumni, I received a fellowship to attend the Igmena Summit in Tunis in September of 2016. I also took part in the ICANN59 meeting in Johannesburg- South Africa within NextGen program then I was selected as ambassador in the ICANN62 meeting in Panama . Besides I participated in world youth forum 2017 in Egypt and African School on Internet Governance by African Union's grant.
