About Me
CURRENTLY
I am working in the Restaurant industry in Shenzhen. Come see me at MAGPIE for contemporary asian food, and also Woodpecker for good old American smoked meats.
ABOUT ME: My dad is from Iran and my mom is American. Half of me eats all day, and the other half invades countries (with my love of course :-) I don't take life too serious because then it wouldn't be any fun. I'm a semi-retired musician, for the past 3 years I was lucky to perform with some of the best musicians in Shenzhen all over the city. I'm busy working these days so less time for hobbies, but I still manage to workout and most importantly play with my 3 cats.
PHILOSOPHY
I enjoy making people smile, laugh, and question things they don't normally question. I have been known to enjoy debates and don't shy away from having an opinion. I believe in the old saying that you should treat people the way you want to be treated. A bit of selflessness would make the world a better place.

Music, Movies, and Books
Chopin, Coldplay, Eminem, Robert Johnson, old blues, indie rock, the only thing I'm not crazy about is country and metal, but they're tolerable in small doses.
I read too much internet news everything from international affairs, vice.com, to anything I find amusing. I don't read books as much as I should but they tend to be non-fiction.
Crash, The Grinch, City of God, Inception, South Park, Seinfeld
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Spain I watched fireworks from my bed laying down, out of my window, without my glasses (horrible eyesight), and it was one of the most beautiful things I've seen. Being approached on a train to Dali in Yunnan China by a girl who never met a 'foreigner' in her life and then spending the next 3 days with her, her sister, and a group of teachers from northwest China who happened to also be looking for a ride to town was joyful, humbling, and awesome on all accords.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to play the piano, things related to opening a restaurant or the reasons why you shouldn't. And lastly the correct way to pet cats. I'm a self proclaimed master.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am unable to host due to a small apartment that I share with my girlfriend and cats, but if you catch me on the right day I may have a bit of freetime to hang out.
