Overview
About Me
It used to be about me (Amir), and now it's about us. I was active in CS for 6 years, first as a guest and then as a host. Then I met Aya. we hosted few guests together till November 2015 when we hosted our new family member - little Mika. Since then we have traveled with her to many places. Now we have been traveling since January 2018 in Asia. Now that we arrived to Europe we decided to open up again to CS as a family.
We like to listen to people's stories, maybe this is why we chose professions as family physician (Amir) and psycholgist (Aya). We believe inspiration is the best way to learn.
We try to figure out the right balance between work and family, how to be good parents while still be in intimacy with one another and finding time for ourselves. We would like to be part of a community when we come back to Israel because we crave for more "togetherness". We know it could be complicated but we are eager to try.
We are working on finding again the real artists that we are. Having a child really helps with bringing our creativity back to life.
Beyond all that, we believe that we are fun to be with. Mika is a little shy at first, but soon enough she opens up and sends you endless smiles.
PHILOSOPHY
About love (from "The art of hearing heartbeats" by Jan-Philipp-Sendker):
"Of course I am not referring to those outbursts of passions that drive us to do and say things we will later regret, that delude us into thinking we cannot life without a certain person, that set us quivering with anxiety at the mere possibility we might ever lose that person-a feeling that impoverishes rather than enriches us because we long to possess what we cannot, to hold on what we cannot.
No. I speak of a love that brings sight to the blind. Of love stronger than fear. I speak of a love that breathes meaning into life, that defies the natural laws of deterioration, that causes us to flourish, that knows no bounds. I speak of the triumph of the human spirit over selfishness and death."
