ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Venezuela, but have lived extensively in the US, UK, Colombia, Israel, and Italy. I currently live in Salsa Capital of the World: Cali, Colombia. I work in my family's hotel business.
I love a good conversation (preferably somewhat alcohol-induced) and am always looking to learn something new.
I really enjoy many of life's smaller pleasures; combined, they ultimately define our life and how happy we are with it. That's why I try to savor (sometimes literally) many of my daily experiences.
I would say that I'm very flexible when it comes to "what I like to do". Food fascinates me--that's for sure--but so do films, music, drinking, partying, and laying in hammocks. I'm up for doing almost anything--from mountain biking or just wandering around the town market to partying till 4 am or just sitting down for a chat. I'll try it all. I'm curious to my core.
As long as it's authentic and heartfelt, I'll try it!
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. --Mark Twain
The question is not "Why?", but rather, "Why not?"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I put in my grain of sand by treating others as I would like others to treat me: I put up my couch for inquisitive globetrotters in hopes that others will hook me up with a place to stay when I do the same...
I'm a giver, not a taker. so I love sharing knowledge and personal experiences.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted several Couchsurfers in different countries (UK, Colombia) and I loved it!
I've also been hosted a few times now (Spain, Italy) and had an amazing time. The people you meet along the way are fantastic and always hospitable.
Interests
Food, eating, drinking, and cooking. Rugby, basketball, scuba-diving, bike-riding, reading, Salsa dancing (and listening), traveling (duh!), exploring, watching movies, chilling, going out.
I'm happy doing almost anything and everything. It's all about the attitude you do it with and the people who accompany you along the way.
Basically, I dabble in a lot of things. Mostly legal ones. (that's a joke, get it?)
