About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just to meet new people, not take life too seriously and enjoy how vast and interesting our tiny planet is.
ABOUT ME
I am generally easygoing. I love meeting new people and sharing experiences. I also love to get into really intricate philosophical discussions. I love all art, though I have mostly experience with music (sing, play guitar and write songs on occasion). Love the outdoors, hiking, canoeing, you name it. When I'm not travelling and seeing the world, you can find me studying math and cognitive science at the University of Toronto.
PHILOSOPHY
To be open to new ideas, to not take life too seriously, to listen to everyone's story, and to most of all to enjoy what I am doing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Would be open to host if I had my own place for a bit... Coming soon!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My friend and I surfed a couple of times during our Cross-Canada hitchhiking trip, both times it was a great experience!
Interests
Looove music. It's been such a huge part of my life. I picked up the guitar when I was 12 and have been playing it nearly non-stop since then. Music can change your life - it helps you meet people, and gets you through rough times.
Travelling, though I haven't done too much of it. A couple of years ago I went and visited Israel all on my own, that really opened me up to travelling as a traveller and not a tourist. Right now my friend and I are hitchhiking across Canada, cuz we might as well get to know our own country first!
Sports - I love to mountain bike, I ride the Don Valley trail in Toronto probably close to a hundred times a year. I love to play soccer, and played it competitively until I was 16. I was a competitive runner for a long time, and still enjoy going on long runs.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Synecdoche New York, A Serious Man, Into the Wild
Music: Woah! So many! Love indie rock, folk, jazz, gypsy music etc.
Books:On the Road (Jack Kerouack), Siddhartha, Steppenwolf (both Herman Hesse), The Stranger (Albert Camus), Slaughterhouse Five (Kurt Vonnegut), Frankenstein (Mary Shelley), The Age of Reason (Jean-Paul Sartre).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've done a 22 day canoe trip down the Missinaibi River - 500 km long right into James Bay. The most relaxing feeling in the world is being under blue skies, in a canoe, in the middle of nowhere.
My friend and I hitchhiked across the country - Toronto to Vancouver. It was pretty life changing and gave us both the travelling bug.
Teach, Learn, Share
Share - I can share my experience growing up in a couple of countries - Israel and Canada, and living in three provinces within Canada. I also tutor math and physics for a living... But I don't see that coming in handy while couchsurfing.
Learn - I like to learn about people, everyone is super interesting!
